Frontiers Publication: Detecting Coronary Artery Disease Using Rest Seismocardiography and Gyrocardiography

Presenting a non-invasive solution to identify patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) defined as less than 50% stenosis in at least one coronary artery. In this study, the cardio-mechanical activity of the patients’ hearts were recorded during rest, using seismocardiography (SCG) and gyrocardiography (GCG). Our findings clearly indicate that our CAD models based on SCG and GCG have a better outcome than a stress test or exercise electrocardiogram, where the patients’ hearts need to be stressed by physical activity before and during the reading.
